Sourav Ganguly taken to hospital after experiencing discomfort in chest: Reports
BCCI president and former India captain Sourav Ganguly was taken to Apollo hospital in Kolkata after he experienced discomfort in chest. Ganguly had recently undergone a heart treatment.
Local media reported that Ganguly arrived at the Apollo hospital in his own car and was seen sitting beside the driver.
Earlier this month on 2nd January, Ganguly had to be admitted to Woodlands hospital in the city after he complained of chest pain and dizziness. The 48-year-old later underwent angioplasty after being diagnosed with three blockages in the coronary artery.
He was later discharged on 7th January with the doctors saying that he will be closely monitored at home. According to the CEO and MD of Woodlands hospital Dr Rupali Basu, Ganguly would have been ready for his next round of procedures and medical intervention in about two-three weeks since getting discharged from the hospital.
On being discharged from the hospital, Ganguly too had given an update on his health.
"I thank the doctors at the hospital for the treatment. I am absolutely fine. Hopefully, I will be ready to fly soon,” he had said.
