Sourav Ganguly predicts the result of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy with two Tests to go
The Border-Gavaskar Trophy is one cricket series which has never failed to deliver, with immense action between two behemoths of world cricket in India and Australia.
The ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia already has India in with an advantage, a 2-0 lead which holds them in good stead for a spot in the World Test Championship final if the hosts pick up another win in this series.
Speculations about the possible upshot of the series have started deluging and with cricket experts casting their vote of confidence in India's favour predominantly, former Indian captain, Sourav Ganguly was the latest addition to this list but he had his own style of answering reporters who asked him to predict the outcome of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
Talking to Rev Sportz, Sourav Ganguly predicted the margin of the series, adding, “I see 4-0. It will be hard for Australia to beat India. In these conditions, we are a far superior team.”
Not only Sourav Ganguly, but a list of experts predicting the result to be predominantly in India’s favour also include the likes of Ravi Shastri, Sunil Gavaskar and Harsha Bhogle. Considering Australia’s challenges in the ongoing series, it’s no surprise that the pundits or experts have predicted India’s thorough domination.
India’s next fixture against Australia is on the 1st of March when the two forces square off at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. A victory for India will book them a spot in the final of the WTC for a second consecutive time while Australia will be desperate to pull things back.
