Sneh Rana to replace injured Shreyanka Patil in WPL 2025

In an unfortunate blow for RCB, Shreyanka Patil has been ruled out of WPL 2025 with an injury and senior pro Sneh Rana will be replacing her for the season. Rana has been a part of the Gujarat Giants in past seasons of WPL and has also captained the team in absence of Beth Mooney in the first season.

From 12 matches in the WPL, Rana has claimed six wickets and last month, she was also the captain of the India C team in the Women’s Challenger Trophy where she finished as the third-highest wicket-taker in the tournament with nine wickets from five games. Rana has claimed 53 international wickets from 52 white-ball games for Team India.

Shreyanka Patil has been one of the standout performers for RCB in their title-winning campaign in 2024. Her ecstatic four-fer in the grand finale was instrumental in rolling over Delhi Capitals. From 15 games, she has claimed 19 wickets for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Patil becomes the latest addition to the growing absentee list with the likes of Kate Cross, Sophie Molineux, Sophie Devine and Asha Sobhana already out of this year’s tournament.
