· Shubman Gill became the youngest Indian to score a T20I century at the tender age of 23 years and 146 days, surpassing the long-standing record of Suresh Raina who took 10 days more.
· Shubman Gill’s unbeaten 126 is the highest score by an Indian in T20Is as he went past Virat Kohli who smashed 122 against Afghanistan in the 2022 Asia Cup.
· Shubman Gill’s unbeaten 126 is also the highest score registered against New Zealand in T20Is by any batter as he rattled another long-standing record of Richard Levi’s 117.
· Shubman Gill became the youngest Indian to score a century in all formats of the game, entering a rare list of records where he surpassed the likes of Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul.
