Shows that we have dominated – Venkatesh Iyer on RCB's top of the table finish in IPL 2026

Venkatesh Iyer put on another show, propelling RCB to a solid start in a tough chase against SRH in Hyderabad. Chasing 256, Venky Iyer’s 44 from 19 balls pushed Sunrisers Hyderabad to an early edge. However, Iyer’s knock was cut short by Eshan Malinga, stalling RCB’s sting.

Talking on RCB’s Post-match Dressing Room Chat, Iyer opened up on RCB’s overall dominance. He also emphasized on the fact that at times, a team needs to take their small wins in a marathon fray like the IPL. He also shed light on how the league dominance would instil a lot of confidence in RCB for the upcoming games.

Explaining the phenomenal run by RCB in the league, Iyer said, “In a big tournament to be top of the table, shows that we have dominated throughout and what we have achieved as a team. Especially in a tournament like IPL where there is a lot of pressure on you, constantly a lot of things happen to you.”

He further added, “There are certain small victories that you got to enjoy and this is one victory, one achievement that the entire team is really gonna cherish. It's gonna give us all a lot of confidence heading into the playoffs and a lot of confidence.”
