He has emerged as one of the most eye-catching talents and the way things are shaping up, Devdutt Padikkal seems destined for greater success going ahead. Padikkal, who was a part of RCB last year, got to play his maiden IPL game only this season.

Talking to RCB 12th Man TV during a live discussion of the official app of the team (hyperlink the link for the app), the 20-year-old Bengaluru boy said that his recent success has come his way due to change in his mentality about how to approach a game.

“It’s been a mental change for me more than anything. I just shifted my focus towards the team and trying to help the team, and win games for the team. Earlier it used to be about me and scoring some runs and me trying to do something extraordinary, but once I shifted my focus towards the team and help the team in whatever way I can, the mindset completely changed and helped in my game as well. I just started to score runs. And when you have 11 people around you, everyone is supporting you it makes a great impact,” said Padikkal during the session.

Padikkal has been garnering a lot of attention from cricket pundits and experts. Former Australia spinner Brad Hogg recently opined that

Devdutt, who has scored three fifties in five matches so far, will be looking to continue his rich vein of form when RCB takes on Chennai Super Kings in Dubai on Saturday.
