As India and Australia gear up for one final Test as part of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy, one major talking point is going to be how the surface plays out, given that the earlier pitches in the series have exhibited similar traits where pace and bounce reigned supreme. With less than 24 hours to go for the SCG Test, SCG pitch curator Adam Lewis provided a crucial update about the track.

Posted on the official X handle of SCG, Page said, “So we're two days out now, getting to the final stages of the prep. We’ve taken the covers off this morning, given a cut of about 7mm and giving it a nice roll today, nice pressing. Really happy with where it’s at.”

He further added, “Giving it a little flick of water, it's very hot in Sydney today, so we'll just keep the moisture there just at the top. And then tomorrow, we'll do a little bit more heavier rolling, take a little bit of the colour out, then we should be ready to go for the third (morning).”

India and Australia will be playing the final Test of the series, slated to start from tomorrow in Sydney. With Australia leading 2-1 in the series, India will be desperate to make it 2-2 with a victory which will need a resounding performance from the team.
