As India moved quite a few mountains in Dominica with West Indies falling victim to India’s rampaging onslaught in all the departments, there were significant movements in the latest ICC Rankings as well as the Indian cricketers made good ground as per the new release. 

Following his century against West Indies, Rohit Sharma re-entered the Top 10 position among Test batsmen. Climbing up three positions, Rohit took up 10th spot, previously held by Rishabh Pant, who slipped down to 11th. 

Despite a well-fought 76 in the match against West Indies, Virat Kohli remained rooted to the 14th spot in the Test batters’ rankings. Kane Williamson continues to ace the batting charts in whites, yet to take the field after rupturing his ACL while playing for Gujarat Titans in IPL 2023.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, who made an impressive entrance into the international circuit with a 171, entered the rankings to take 73rd spot. 

On the bowling front, Ravindra Jadeja leapt up to the seventh spot with five wickets in the first match while Ravichandran Ashwin continued his stay at No.1 after a 12-fer display in the opening Test.

3rd – Babar Azam (PAK) – 862 points

4th – Steve Smith (AUS) – 855 points

1st – Ravichandran Ashwin (IND) – 884 points

2nd – Pat Cummins (AUS) – 828 points

3rd – Kagiso Rabada (SA) – 825 points

4th – James Anderson (ENG) – 805 points

5th – Shaheen Afridi (PAK) – 787 points

Top five all-rounders:

1st – Ravindra Jadeja (IND) – 449 points

2nd - Ravichandran Ashwin (IND) – 362 points

3rd – Shakib Al Hasan (BAN) – 332 points
