Indian wicket-keeping batter, Dinesh Karthik who will play for the Royal Challengers Bangalore for the second time, has opened up on how Rohit and Rahul Dravid’s incorporation in the specific roles allotted to them, has impacted the team significantly and yet in a nuanced manner.

Lauding Rohit Sharma for his showdown as a skipper so far, DK quoted, “What I enjoyed most was Rohit's captaincy. I thought he led the team beautifully. Tactically very, very sound, and I thoroughly enjoyed the way the team played in the last couple of series against West Indies.”

Karthik further added that the duo of Rohit and Rahul Dravid has done a significant lot to plug the gaps in the Indian echelons. He cited, “The new captain and there's a new coach, I think they are taking the team in a fabulous direction. They've plugged small holes, which were probably there previously, and that has been the beautiful part about it. And along the way, in the journey, they've managed to become No.1.”

Rohit was shouldered with further onus as he was asked to lead the team in the longest format of the sport after Kohli renounced the leadership following a loss to South Africa.

Rohit Sharma said after being named the captain across all 3 formats for Team India. “It is a huge honor and it is always a great feeling to be captaining India in all three formats. I have a lot of challenges to look forward to. Once the opportunity came through, I was glad and very happy to be captaining the team. We have a solid bunch of guys, so looking forward to leading them onto the park and seeing what we can create on the field.”
