BCCI announced a 15-man squad for the upcoming ODIs against South Africa as Rishabh Pant makes his return to the 50-over format after he last played an ODI in August 2024. KL Rahul has been named captain, with Shubman Gill nursing the injury he picked up during India's first Test against South Africa in Kolkata.

All eyes will also be on Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, who will add some much needed experience into the mix. Shreyas Iyer’s absence has opened up a spot for southpaw Tilak Varma with Ravindra Jadeja also making his ODI team comeback as one of the two all-rounders apart from Nitish Kumar Reddy and Washington Sundar.

Ruturaj Gaikwad, who did exceedingly well against South Africa A in the ODI series has also been included in the reserves. India will be playing South Africa in a three-match ODI series, starting from November 30th.
