RCB's turn is around the corner: AB de Villiers
The Royal Challengers Bangalore will be heading to the 16th edition of the IPL with a decent blend of experience and youth. RCB Hall of Famer, AB de Villiers issued a massive remark for the franchise ahead of the upcoming edition, stating that it’s just that prized jumpstart that the franchise needs by winning one IPL and the rest would soon fall in place thereafter.
ABD believes that 2023 can very well be the year where the fortunes for RCB flip and there is a new dawn in the making. Speaking with Star Sports, ABD said, “It's been how many seasons now? Quite a few, 14 or 15 or whatever. So, they would love to break the shackles. I think if RCB wins one then, they'll probably win two, three, four quickly but let's wait and see what happens, T20 cricket is a bit of a gamble sometimes, anything can happen. Especially knockout games, but hopefully RCB's turn is around the corner.”
A giant in the Red and Gold threads, AB de Villiers is the second highest-run scorer for Royal Challengers Bangalore as he amassed 4522 runs at a brilliant average of 41.10 while scoring at a staggering strike rate of 158.33. He has also managed to register 2 centuries and 37 half-centuries with an unbeaten 133 being his career best in the IPL.
