RCB’s homecoming set to begin with blockbuster clash against Mumbai Indians

Royal Challengers Bengaluru, on the back of two comfortable wins as part of the Baroda leg of Women’s Premier League 2025 will enter their home leg with a blockbuster clash against Mumbai Indians on February 21st at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
RCB’s two wins came in different situations, with the batters shining through in their record chase against Gujarat, while against the Delhi Capitals, the bowlers combined well to bowl out the opposition for 141, before the target was chased in just 16.2 overs.
MI, on the other hand, have one win and one loss from their two matches so far, and while that doesn’t make for bad reading, they will need their local players to step up.
Their overseas quartet of Hayley Matthews, Nat-Sciver Brunt, Amelia Kerr and Shabnim Ismail have done the heavy lifting while for RCB, they’ve had players contributing across the board.
With a sold out crowd expected to turn the M Chinnaswamy Stadium into a cauldron of noise, MI will undoubtedly feel the pressure, but the inaugural WPL champions have the experience in the ranks.
As for the hosts and defending champions who house the momentum, Smriti Mandhana’s team will want to commence their home leg on a winning note and register a hat-trick of wins.
Two powerhouses going up against each other in front of a packed crowd, we’re in for a cracker of a contest!
