RCB rope in Tim Seifert as temporary replacement for Jacob Bethell

RCB have roped in New Zealander Tim Seifert as the temporary replacement player in place of England all-rounder, Jacob Bethell.
Bethell, who made his RCB debut with a sparkling half-century against CSK this season, will fly out of India post the league stage game against Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 23rd.
Seifert brings in a boatload of experience, formerly having featured in franchise leagues around the globe. He has also cemented his position in the New Zealand international side with a flurry of whirlwind knocks in the shortest format of the game.
The 30-year-old Kiwi international has amassed 5862 runs in T20 cricket from the 262 matches that he has been a part of. More importantly, a fine average of 27.65 featuring 28 half-centuries and three centuries cements his name as a top performer in the fastest lane of the sport.
Seifert’s strike rate of 133.07 in T20s make him another impressive pick for the franchise, who can bring the firepower up front, if needed. In T20Is, he has got numbers that scream destruction for the Blackcaps. He has smashed 1540 runs at a stunning strike rate of 142.85. Seifert’s aggressive intent makes him a perfect fit for RCB’s template of calculated aggression in IPL 2025.
