RCB retain 18 players prior to IPL 2024 Auction
The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have retained 18 players ahead of the IPL 2024 Auction, a list that features marquee players such as Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell and Mohammad Siraj, among others.
Apart from Faf and Maxwell, RCB have also retained Will Jacks (INR 3.2 Cr) and Reece Topley (INR 1.7 Cr) among the overseas talents, leaving the franchise with four foreign slots left to fill at the auction.
Among the 11 released players are the likes of Harshal Patel and Wanindu Hasaranga - both signed for INR 10.75 Crore in the IPL 2022 Auction - apart from pacer Josh Hazlewood, who was also signed by RCB for INR 7.75 Crore.
RCB have a purse worth INR 40.75 Cr to spend at the auction, with a total of seven slots available to sign players. This edition of the IPL Auction will be held in Dubai on the 19th of December, 2023.
