RCB look to inflict home dominance on travelling Delhi Capitals in Green Game
18 Apr, 2026 By Editor

RCB is all set to hit the yard again as they gear up for their green game of the season, where they will lock horns with Delhi Capitals in the Chinnaswamy. The Royal Challengers Bengaluru have significant momentum with four wins from five games and will now hunt for the fifth win that will push them into double figures, a substantial feat in the first half of the tournament.

The Men in Red and Gold enter this game on the back of a mammoth win against Lucknow Super Giants. An all-round performance at Chinnaswamy was more than enough to seal their fourth win. More importantly, Josh Hazlewood hitting his signature stride would be a massive sigh of reprieve for Andy Flower and company.

Delhi Capitals, at the other end, had a rambunctious start to the tournament with two wins in two games. However, things went awry for the Capitals with two back-to-back defeats. Delhi came mighty close to the finish line against Gujarat Titans in the last game but eventually fell short of the finish line by a solitary run.

The Royal Challengers will once again be setting sights on the pole position, hoping to eke out a victory against the Delhi Capitals. The last time these two sides met in Bengaluru, Delhi emerged victorious. The follow-up game in Delhi saw RCB avenging themselves. With the kind of home form that RCB has enjoyed so far that has seen them secure three wins from three games in their fortress, they will be hopeful of bolstering their home dominance.

Venue Watch

The clash between Lucknow and RCB witnessed a different side of Chinnaswamy’s surface in the latest iteration of the tournament. There was a hint of spongy bounce in the first innings while things eased out in the second. So far, the games that have been played in Bengaluru has seen a deluge of runs and with the game being in the afternoon, one would expect something similar. However, when the lights come on, things might just be tricky for the batters if not navigated properly.
