RCB is a great franchise, and I've felt the love over here – Jacob Bethell

Jacob Bethell put up a warring stand of resilience against India in the first ODI, scoring a crucial 51. His knock provided the visitors a much-needed platform to give themselves a fighting chance. Despite donning the English threads, Bethell has opened up about the overwhelming love that he has received from the RCB fans wherever and whenever he has played.

As quoted by the Daily Mail, Bethell said, “RCB is a great franchise, and I've felt the love over here. Every ground I've been to, as soon as I walk onto the pitch, they start chanting: RCB, RCB. There's definitely a lot of support. To play along with the likes of players like that would be really cool.”

Bethell also emphasized the dynamics of playing alongside the greats of the game, adding, “As soon as you play against someone, you realise you're playing the same game and they can make the same mistakes you can. It’s just that those guys obviously got a lot better at not making the mistakes.”

The English superstar who would be joining RCB for the upcoming edition of the IPL also opened up on his key role. He said, “I see myself as a genuine all-rounder. Whenever I get the chance to bowl and state my claim, and put us in a good position, I will. It's a massive part of my package.”
