RCB Gameday – "Expect our guys to play out of their skin" - Andy Flower

RCB and KKR will kick-start the IPL 2025 season as Eden Gardens is all set to play host to the opener. The last time these two teams met at the same venue, it was a thriller of the highest order, boiling down to the last ball of the game before KKR walked out victorious by a solitary run.

Keeping all of that in mind, Andy Flower who will be coaching the team for his second season, shed some light on the preparations of RCB. He heaped unreserved praises on his wards while also expressing the fact that he is eager to watch his team in action.

Talking on RCB’s Game Day video, Andy said, “We have had some excellent preparations in the last ten days. Boys have been brilliant. I’ve really enjoyed watching and being a part of getting ready for these two games. But the opportunity here is to make a proper statement about our intentions in this tournament.”

Explaining the conditions in Kolkata, Flower said, “It’s always quite a sticky and humid atmosphere at the start. But we are going to have a full crowd in the first game of the IPL 2025. It should be an amazing atmosphere. I am pretty sure that our boys would be a little bit nervous but also absolutely ready to play.”

Andy concluded by stating, “I am really looking forward to the first game, should be an absolute ripper. Hopefully the weather holds for us and it will be a great occasion. I expect our guys to play out of their skin.”
