It was a busy day for RCB at the WPL auction on Monday as they went head on with some serious splurges that saw them bringing aboard a flurry of stars, sparking some jaw-dropping reactions from fans and experts. Not only did they bring in the big names of cricket under the hallowed shed, but they also resorted to some hard-hitting experience and coupled it with some young blood who can very well prove to be the faces of the future.

Here's a quick glance at the names that were roped in at the WPL auction and will be raring to take the yard in the Red and Gold and emanate a thousand memories.

Batters

We have some highly decorated names in this elite list who are capable of bringing forth fire and thunder in the midst of even the most hostile atmospheres. To start with this department, we have the starry likes of Smriti Mandhana leading the charge for RCB followed by the English skipper, Heather Knight. Well, to add further sheen to this category, the duo will be accompanied by young Indian batter, Disha Kasat.

Wicketkeepers

There are two wicket-keepers that were roped in by RCB duringMonday’s auction. Richa Ghosh, the hard-hitting Indian gloves-woman will be accompanied by Indrani Roy who has previously proved her mettle in the domestic circuit.


Batting allrounders:

Quite a few glistening names that have been added to this department features the likes of Ellyse Perry and the Kiwi skipper, Sophie Devine who can sprinkle stardust both with the bat and the ball. Poonam Khemnar is also an exciting talent when it comes to batting all-rounders.

Bowling all-rounders: 


When it comes to bowling all-rounders names like Dane van Niekerk, the former South African captain and the Aussie all-rounder, Erin Burns will definitely be leading the show. They will be accompanied by the likes of a young Kanika Ahuja who can weave some serious magic both with the bat and the ball.

Bowlers

This is exactly where it gets interesting as RCB ensured some heavy names coming together to add some serious gloss to their bowling department that will be led by the likes of Megan Schutt and Renuka Singh Thakur. Adding further depth to their line-up, they will also have the woman with a glistening trail in the Indian domestic circuit, Preeti Bose. There is a wave of exciting young bowlers who will also be grabbing the eyeballs as the list stars Sahana Pawar, Komal Zanzad, Asha Shobana, and Shreyanka Patil.
