A week ago the RCB fans were delighted to witness their Finisher Supreme taking the yard for the first time as a part of the preparatory chapter for IPL 2023. Not only did Dinesh Karthik take the field but he also focused on his immediate goals and how he is planning to enforce himself upon the 22 yards as another chapter of IPL awaits us all.

Now to add to the RCB fans’ delight, two new monikers joined the mix too and they were Himanshu Sharma and Avinash Singh, a couple of young guns who were picked by the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the latest edition of the IPL Auction.

Himanshu Sharma was excited about being picked by the Royal Challengers Bangalore, and talking on the latest episode of RCB Bold Diaries, he opened up on why this opportunity to play for the Royal Challengers is very special for him.

Himanshu said, “I am very excited to be picked by RCB because I have been following this franchise since 2008 and they are my favourite team. I am feeling very happy that they went for me and gave me this incredible opportunity to showcase my talents.”

The young spinner further added, “I did well at the RCB trials. I just hoped that after all the hard work, it would be a chance for me if they take me in the team. Representing the Red and Gold, you always have to practice a lot. Malo Bhaiya and DK bhaiya are practicing well and working on my skills.”

Another raw talent who was roped in by RCB was Av Singinashh who was spotted through RCB’s Hinterland Scouting and for the first time he was witnessed taking the yard in RCB colours.

Avanish said, “It was a very big opportunity and I am very happy and grateful that RCB provided me this opportunity. It was also an exciting moment for me. I hope that I will be doing my best for this franchise.”

He continued, “When RCB had a camp in Mumbai, I was really doing well there. I bowled pretty decently there, bringing forward my pace battery. I believe that is the reason I was selected.”

The pacer from Jammu & Kashmir further added, “The pressure has been good so far. There are a lot of coaches who are minutely working with our actions and discipline. Malo sir, Sriram sir and DK sir are also helping us extensively. It is a great set-up for improving our skills, it has overall been a fantastic platform.”
