RCB Bold Diaries: Sanjay Bangar's message to RCB 12th Man Army ahead of the IPL auction
We are on the cusp of another IPL auction and 24 hours from now, we will know which teams are going for which players to fill the gaps that they had in the preceding year. Sanjay Bangar, the Head coach of the Royal Challengers Bangalore had a very special message for the fans ahead of the big day ahead where Hugh Edmeades will return for another crackerjack of an auction.
Talking on RCB Bold Diaries, Sanjay Bangar said, “Keep backing RCB. We are keenly keenly waiting for the IPL to return to Chinnaswamy. Whenever I have played against RCB as a player or a coach, I was always jealous of the energy that you give to the team. It is absolutely phenomenal. Keep doubling up the energy because we require that energy in big quantities.”
RCB will be going into the auction with a purse of INR 8.75 crore and with a lion’s share of their squad retained, they will like to make a few tweaks hither and yon as suggested by Mike Hesson. In a Bold Diaries video, Mike Hesson talked in detail about RCB’s plans, going into the auction and the kind of strategies that the team has forged in the meet-up at Dubai.
The Challengers had a phenomenal 2022 where they fell short of the final by just one step after roaring throughout the tournament that saw the emergence of new stars and faces. Barring the experienced likes of Faf, Josh, Virat and DK, Hasaranga displayed his true class while Shahbaz Ahmed delivered a much more coming-of-age performance as RCB made their third consecutive play-off.
