RCB Bold diaries: An evening of Red, Gold and much more - RCB camp celebrates Holi

So, what happens when a bunch of people from all around the world come together in a single place, and it’s a local festival? There’s no way the local flavor isn’t going to get to them. That’s exactly what happened at the RCB Team room garden on the day of Holi.

Just as the team finished an afternoon practice session under the sweltering afternoon sun, the evening brought some much-needed relief. The mild sea breeze blew across the team garden as the players slowly started pouring in. The pads and the gloves were off, hair let down, the colors went up and the Royal Challengers Bangalore camp had a party atmosphere.

Two and a half months in the bio bubble can be taxing on the body and the mind. But, for those who might be missing their home, the Holi celebrations would have brought some much-needed relief. 

The theme of the IPL podcast goes “How has the IPL changed your life?” Probably there’s no better endorsement to that radical change than what happened on the evening of Holi. Where else would you get to see international stars, young domestic Indian players, and even the support staff splash colors on each other, as the ice shatters in the camp?
