RCB appoint Omkar Salvi as their new bowling coach ahead of IPL 2025
Royal Challengers Bengaluru have appointed Omkar Salvi as their bowling coach for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League. Salvi is currently the coach of the Mumbai cricket team and will be joining RCB after the completion of his duties in the ongoing season.
Salvi’s recent exploits have been awe-inspiring as he has won the Ranji Trophy, Irani Trophy and the IPL in the last eight months. He was working as the assistant coach of the Kolkata Knight Riders that bagged the silverware in 2024 under Shreyas Iyer's captaincy.
Salvi will be taking over the reins from Australian Adam Griffith, who coached the bowling unit previously. In his stint, RCB's bowlers did pull off quite a few impressive performances, and with Salvi's experience coming in, the new lot of players the franchise will sign at the upcoming IPL 2025 Auction will hope to form a strong partnership with the bowling coach.
