RCB have appointed former England fast-bowler Anya Shrubsole as the franchise’s assistant coach ahead of the WPL 2026 Mega Auction.
Shrubsole will be working alongside newly appointed Head Coach, Malolan Rangarajan, who took over the reins from Luke Williams.

One of the premier pacers in world cricket during her playing days, Shrubsole was a part of the England squad that won the 2017 Women’s World Cup. She was also the Player of the Match in the final, registering figures of 6/47 against India. Shrubsole retired in 2022 with 227 international wickets across all formats.

Having served in a player-coach role in The Hundred women’s competition, Shrubsole comes into the RCB fold with coaching experience under her belt.

On Shrubsole’s appointment, Rangarajan said, “Anya brings with her a wealth of experience and leadership. She will oversee our bowling unit and serve as an integral member of our think tank. I have no doubt she will settle in seamlessly with the group and make a significant impact both on and off the field.”
