Rahul Dravid provides update on Rohit, Chahar and Kuldeep’s injury
India’s woes are simply not relenting at the moment as they suffered a crushing blow at the hands of Bangladesh as the latter walked away with the bragging rights of the series, leaving the Men in Blue stuttering and stammering. To add to India’s woes, they will also be without the likes of three of their players as they ended up injured during the ongoing series and Rahul Dravid had to take a stringent call.
Speaking at the post-match conference about India’s struggles with injuries, Dravid said, “We are struggling with a few injuries as well which is not ideal and not easy for us. I think Deepak (Chahar) and Rohit (Sharma) will certainly miss the next match. Kuldeep (Sen) is also out of the series. Rohit will fly back to Bombay, consult with an expert to see how it is, and confirm whether he can come back for the Test series or not. It is too early to say anything but he will be out for the next match for sure.”
The Indian management was forced to make this call after Rohit Sharma ended up hurting his thumb in the second over of the first innings while trying to pouch a catch off Siraj’s bowling. Kuldeep had suffered a back spasm ahead of the second game and Deepak Chahar has again ended up injuring himself that will force him out of the series, intensifying Dravid’s frowns, especially as India battles Bangladesh, now with the intent of averting a whitewash.
India will be playing their final ODI against Bangladesh on the 10th of December at Chattogram, hoping to secure a win in a series that has already gone awry for the Men in Blue.
