Player Registration for IPL 2021 closes, 1097 players sign up
21 Indian capped players and 186 international capped players signed up for 2021 IPL auctions with the Player Registrations closing on 4th February.
In total 1097 players – 814 Indian and 283 overseas players – have signed up for the mini-auction which will take place in Chennai on 18th February 3 PM onwards.
Among those who have registered for the auction, 207 are capped, 863 uncapped and 27 Associate players.
The Auction will begin from 3PM onwards.
61 slots are up for grabs across teams, if teams go with the maximum number of players allowed, i.e., 25. Of these 61, 22 slots can be filled by overseas players. According to an IPL media advisory, following is the country-wise breakdown of overseas players who will go under the hammer later this month.

It’s noteworthy that RCB had released 10 players ahead of the auctions and have a purse size of 35.2 crores to fill the spots for the 14th edition of the IPL.
