Morne Morkel has joined the Indian camp ahead of their upcoming bilateral series against Bangladesh. On his very first day with the team, he was blown away with the impressive showdown from the Indian bowlers, especially their quicks.

With Mohammed Shami missing from action due to his injury, India has gone forward with their fast-bowling quartet of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Akash Deep and Yash Dayal for the first Test against their neighbours.

Talking in an introductory video released by BCCI, India’s bowling coach, Morne Morkel said, “For me, it's just important to connect well with the guys. I've played with and against some of these players, watched them in the IPL. To be in a camp and form relationships with them is very important. Today was just about that - to get an understanding about the guys, find out their strengths and weaknesses, and setting goals for the upcoming series.”

He further added about the quality of the Indian bowlers, adding, “I was blown away by how they went about their things and how professional they were. So, that's a good sign and hopefully we can build on that.”

India will be playing their first Test against Bangladesh from 19th September which will also happen to be their first of the ten Test matches which are lined up in the next five months, featuring opponents like Bangladesh, New Zealand and Australia.
