Mohammed Siraj ruled out of Duleep Trophy with illness

Mohammed Siraj will not participate in the first round of the 2024 Duleep Trophy as he has been ruled out with illness and as a result, Navdeep Saini will replace him in the India B squad.

Apart from Siraj, Umran Malik has also been ruled out while Ravindra Jadeja has been released from the Team B squad. Gaurav Yadav will replace Umran in Team C, while Jadeja’s replacement has not been named.

The first round of the Duleep Trophy will be played simultaneously in Anantapur and Bengaluru from September 5th. Originally a zonal competition that featured five teams which changed to six, has now seen two many modulations in recent times. The latest edition of the tournament will be played with four teams which will see a number of India internationals be a part of the fray.
