MCG to allow 30,000 fans during Australia vs India Boxing Day Test
There is good news for fans from Australia. After the last T20I between Australia and India witnessed a full-house, it’s time for the Tests to witness a substantial number of fans in the stadium.
The Melbourne Cricket Ground will be permitting 30,000 fans per day during the Boxing Day test between Australia and India. The update comes after authorities eased crowd restrictions on Thursday.
Earlier, the match was to be capped at 25,000 fans per day but Victoria sports minister Martin Pakula confirmed the increase on social media, after the southern state confirmed that it had done without a COVID-19 case for 41st consecutive day.
The second match of the Four-Test series will be the first time fans would be allowed to enter the iconic stadium since record 86,000 attended Australia vs India Women’s T20 World Cup final in March.
