Manoj Bhandage was in sensational form last night that saw him leading the charge for Mysuru Warriors as they scripted a staggering 54-run victory over the Gulbarga Mystics. Not only was he electric with the bat but a magical display in a solitary over from him saw the Mystics crumbling down mysteriously in front of the bedazzling brilliance of the Warriors.

Batting first, the Warriors posted 198/5 against the resolute bowling unit of the Mystics. Bhandage walked out to bat at number five and took his due time to get his eye in. Once he was set, he brought out the heavy artillery, firing on all cylinders against an ailing Mystics bowling unit. He stayed unbeaten till the end, smashing 32 runs from 15 balls, in which he clubbed two fours and two sixes.

However, that wasn’t the end of Manoj Bhandage’s special display as he returned with the ball in his hands to shock the Mystics and that was too much of a blow to deal with for the latter. With Mysuru already wobbling at 5/124, Manoj struck his first scalp of the day, returning Amit Verma to the pavilion.

Next up in the line of victims was D Avinash who holed out to Karun Nair as Manoj claimed his second of the day in an alternate delivery while finishing the over with a third as he bagged another important scalp of Sourabh Muttur, who came in as the Impact Player. He finished his exploits for the day with the wicket of his RCB teammate, Vyshak Vijaykumar as the latter played it straight to Achar off Manoj’s bowling.

Manoj’s match-winning display featuring figures of 32*(15) and a bowling spell of 4/19 won him the Player of the Match as he continues to lead the charge for the Warriors in the ongoing Maharaja T20.
