Multiple talks have commenced on India's World Cup squad and experts have weighed in with their valuable opinions on how this squad can make an impact in the quadrennial event.

The latest addition to this list was former Indian cricketer, Sanjay Manjrekar, who shared his thoughts on the possible outcome of the World Cup.

As the tournament returns to India after a staggering 12 years, the fans will be hopeful that the Indian cricket team can win the title back and that would indeed be a massive reprieve for the Indian cricket fans after more than a decade worth of trophy drought in ICC events.

Manjrekar said, "Yes, I think the selectors have done a good job considering the options that they had. The planning is good, now it’s all about the execution in the main game. I see India qualifying for the semis, but it’s the challenge post the semis that India will have to contend with. There are some good sides around; we’ve had a glimpse of some of the squads. It's not going to be easy, but yes, it’s a good enough side to win the World Cup."

Only time will tell how India turn up in the quadrennial extravaganza with a lot at stake. At the moment, though, the Men in Blue are occupied in the Asia Cup where they will be hoping to make amends for faltering in the preceding edition of the tournament.
