It’s a clash for the ultimate prize as India meet South Africa in the T20 World Cup final
After a battle throughout seven games comprising entirely different set of opponents, Team India has finally arrived to the grandest stage of all, the final of the 2024 T20 World Cup. As Barbados gears up for the ultimate clash between two unbeaten teams of the tournament, India and South Africa, the world waits with bated breath to find the winner of the latest edition of the tournament.
India will be playing the final of this fray for the third time with their second appearance coming a decade ago. They were up against Sri Lanka in the final of the tournament and things fell apart in the dying embers. For South Africa, this is the first ever final of any World Cup that they will be a part of. In 2014, they were the semi-finalists whom India braved to clinch their berth in the summit clash.
India has been on a seven-match unbeaten streak while South Africa has been on an eight-match unbeaten streak. Both the teams have some serious firepower in their batting unit while their bowling units are equally strong, particularly the pace battery.
Venue Watch:
Barbados offers a balanced contest between the bat and the ball. It is a decent batting track while the bowlers also have a fair share of glory if they are able to exploit it. Ideally, during the latter half of the game, with the sun beating down on the track, it tends to play slightly better than the first innings.
