The BCCI created history a week ago by finally bringing to life the dream of a Women’s edition of a Premier T20 tournament in India, as they announced the franchises who successfully won their bids and will be fielding their individual teams in the inaugural edition of the upcoming WPL.

With the talks of the team being put into shape and with the speculations of which players are going to be picked running riot in the cricketing echelons, there have been a few cricketers who have started announcing their wishes loud and clear.

During an interview at the Australian Cricket Awards, iconic Australian wicket-keeper batter, Alyssa Healy opened up on her choice of WPL franchise

In a prolonged interview alongside Mitchell Starc, Healy confirmed that she would be a part of the WPL and picking her team of choice she mentioned that it definitely depends on the auction to see where she would end up but it would indeed be nice to go to RCB.

It was not much of a surprise coming from her considering the fact that she has previously been to the Chinnaswamy Stadium to watch her husband, RCB’s former speedster, Mitchell Starc in action.

The kind of legacy that Healy brings to the platter is going to make her one of the most sought-after players in the upcoming auction for the WPL. Talking about her heroic T20I exploits, she has managed to rack up 2300 runs from 136 contests. She has managed to get the runs flowing at a breezy strike rate of 127.91.
