The Indian women's cricket team will have a new challenge at hand as they arrive in Dhaka on July 6th to play a three-match T20I series, followed by three ODIs against Bangladesh. All the matches will be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur as quoted by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).

As per the notice released by the BCB, the three T20Is between India and Bangladesh will be played on July 9th, 11th and 13th and will be starting at 2 pm as per Dhaka time. This would probably play as a prelude for Bangladesh’s hosting capability, with the country set to host the 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup.

The T20I series will be followed by three ODIs slated to be played on July 16th, 19th and 22nd. The ODIs will be starting from 9:30 AM Dhaka time.

The three ODIs are also a part of the 2022-25 ICC Women's ODI Championship cycle, and the top 10 teams will qualify for the 2025 women’s cricket World Cup that will be hosted by India.

India are currently on top of the points table with six wins from six matches that has earned them 12 points. Bangladesh, on the contrary, are in the 8th position of the points table with three points as they lost two series, and another loss could be a telling blow to their World Cup aspirations.
