India dominated the ICC Men’s T20I Team of the Year as there were four entrants making their way to the clique of elites in the year that landed them the ICC T20I World Cup. Rohit was aided by the presence of India’s MVP all-rounder in the T20 World Cup, Hardik Pandya. Pandya’s crucial spell in the tournament final that saw him land the big scalps of Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller saw India inch closer to the finish line. Apart from that, Pandya smashed 352 runs in the year from 17 matches while registering 16 wickets in the process.

Jasprit Bumrah was also a key element that set the tone perfectly for India crashing South Africa in Bridgetown. Bumrah had a phenomenal year that saw him registering 15 wickets from eight games while chronicling best figures of 3/7. An average of 8.26 simply transformed the numbers of Bumrah into somewhat of a magical plane.

Arshdeep Singh who clinched the award of the ICC T20I Cricketer of the Year was India’s finest in the shortest format of the game. With 36 wickets in his tally from just 18 matches, laced with an average of 13.50 and best figures of 4/9, Arshdeep was a scintillating spearhead for Team India with the new ball in his hand.

ICC Men’s T20I Team of the Year:

Rohit Sharma (cap), Travis Head, Phil Salt, Babar Azam, Nicholas Pooran (wk), Sikandar Raza, Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan, Wanindu Hasaranga, Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh
