India-W to host England and Australia in a packed multi-format home series from December 6th

The Indian women’s cricket team will be hosting England and Australia in a jam packed home season, which kick-starts from December 6th. 

India will first host England for three T20Is and a Test match from 14th-17th December, before facing off against Australia for a Test, 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is, a bilateral series which will also stretch into the second week of January 2024.

In a statement released by BCCI secretary, Jay Shah, it said, “The season kicks off with the resumption of A tours, as India A host England A team for three T20s at the Wankhede Stadium. The international home season will begin with India hosting England for three T20Is, which will be played under lights at the Wankhede Stadium. England's Tour of India will culminate with a four-day Test scheduled from December 14th to 17th at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.”

Shah further added, “The Test will be followed by six white-ball matches, starting with the three ODIs, followed by three T20Is at the DY Patil Stadium. The four-day event will be followed by three ODIs at the same venue on December 28, December 30 and January 2. Australia's tour will end with three T20Is on January 5, 7 and 9.”

Harmanpreet Kaur, the Indian women’s cricket team captain and her teammates were last seen in action at the Asian Games 2022, where they triumphed over Sri Lanka in the final to claim a historic gold medal.
