India taste defeat in three days at Adelaide as visitors level series 1-1
It was a matter of more hope than conviction for Team India as they took the yard on Day 3 of the Adelaide Test. Stuttering at 128/5, they lost Rishabh Pant early and from thereon, despite the best of efforts from Nitish Kumar Reddy, things didn’t really go in favour of the visitors.
Reddy scored another valiant 42 but eventually ran short of support at the other end as Pat Cummins claimed a fifer in the second innings, bundling India out for 175. With a target of 19 on the board, for Australia it was a mere formality.
It took them just 19 balls to conclude proceedings as it all got back to square one with three Tests to go. Travis Head was the Player of the Match for his scintillating 140 in the first innings. The next Test has been slated to be played in Gabba which starts from 14th December.
