India optimistic of finishing clinched-series on a victorious note against England
After falling behind in the series, Team India managed to turn the tide around in emphatic fashion as they snubbed Bazball right in its very root. Winning three games on the trot, the fate of the series has been sealed already and now Rohit and company will be eyeing a grandstand finish.
With the return of Jasprit Bumrah, India will be hopeful of making all the right ripples. England, though, will want to salvage a win to draw the curtains on what has been a rather disappointing series for them.
Washington Sundar has been released from the Indian squad for the fifth Test as he linked up with Tamil Nadu for the ongoing Ranji Trophy. England will also be coming to this fixture without Shoaib Bashir. With the changes drafted in both the squad, expect this contest to be another glorious affair in whites for both the sides.
Venue Watch:
Deemed as one of the most picturesque venues in India, HPCA Stadium will be playing host to this iconic fixture. Going by the earlier contests played out in this venue, it is a batting track to start with but as the days progress, the spinners will have an upper hand.
