India meet West Indies in no-holds-barred battle as Bengaluru plays host to series decider
17 Oct, 2026 By Editor

Bengaluru is all set to host two T20I powerhouses who will stop at nothing to get the hallowed silverware. India and West Indies will go hard at each other without hesitation unless the series has been won. Both sides have been in electric form with four run-fests illuminating the series so far.

One major headache for both the teams will be managing their bowling units, which have been in absolute shambles until now. With runs leaking left, right and center, the difference for both sides has always boiled down to any one bowler.

India's squad was bolstered on Friday evening when the BCCI announced the addition of Bhuvneshwar Kumar to the side as a cover for Arshdeep Singh. Kumar’s experience and his familiarity with the Chinnaswamy surface while playing for RCB can be a massive difference maker for the Men in Blue.

West Indies will undoubtedly pin their hopes on Shai Hope, who continues to dominate for the visitors with the bat. In Hyderabad, Keemo Paul registered impressive figures of 5/41 while Shamar Springer bowled an excellent over in the latter half of the innings to stall India’s run-scoring flow.

It might turn out to be an absolute blockbuster of a clash considering the lofty stakes. Bengaluru has always seen sides piling up huge totals, which has been the overall norm of the ongoing series and that will simply turn this clash into a no-holds barred battle.

Venue Watch:

Known as the graveyard of bowlers, Chinnaswamy has always been an excellent surface to bat on. Unless the kind of pitches that were prepared in IPL 2026, it goes without saying that a lot will ride on the batters. The bounce being true and the carry being good, the advantage for the batters compound with the boundaries being on the shorter side. One won’t be surprised if there is another game featuring a cumulative aggregate of 400-plus-runs in the series.
