India eye grand finish to group stages as Oman gear up for massive challenge

With the Super Four slot confirmed, Team India will face their last challenge of the Asia Cup 2025 group stages.

With Oman in their sights, the Men in Blue will like to try out their strength on the bench, just to be doubly sure of what can be the perfect mix for the Super Four round.

So far it has been an impressive performance from Team India as they have secured two out of two wins. Their bowling unit has been a formidable force with Kuldeep Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah doing the honours. In terms of batting strength, Abhishek Sharma has already got a couple of bombastic starts with Shubman Gill threatening to run away with the game too.

Oman, comparatively a weaker front in terms of tactical flair, might try and get a good hang of experience from a tough contender like India. India might resort to Harshit Rana and Arshdeep Singh to take care of their seam department while Rinku Singh and Jitesh Sharma might also get a nod for the final group stage clash.

Pitch overview:

The surface in Abu Dhabi is a balanced one. Initially it favours pace but as time passes by, the surface tends to get slower. Spinners will have a good grip on the game and might act as the decisive factor. With that being said, the batters will still be on top and one can expect this to be a fine-scoring battle.

X-Factors for India:

·      Abhishek Sharma has been getting starts at the top. This might very well be the game that he might try and convert into a big knock.

·      Suryakumar Yadav hasn’t got much game time with the bat. In the last fixture he did show what he is capable of, but if gets more batting time, he can very well be the game-changer.
