I'm proud of the way our boys bowled – Suryakumar Yadav
It was a valiant fightback from Team India on Gqeberha despite the batters failing to leave a lasting impression. Varun Chakravarthy and Ravi Bishnoi knitted their web of magic but the other bowlers couldn’t really conjure the kind of penetration that they were looking forward to. The Indian captain, Suryakumar Yadav pointed out that it was a clinical display from the bowlers while talking at the post-match presentation.
Shedding light on the low total posted by Team India, SKY said, “You always have to back whatever total you get. Of course, in a T20 game you don't want to get 125 or 140 but I'm proud of the way our boys bowled.”
He also had a special word of praise for Varun Chakravarthy’s brilliant bowling.
Highlighting the brilliance of Varun, Surya said, “In a T20 game someone getting a 5-fer defending 125 and in this situation, it's incredible. He worked really hard on his game and he has been waiting for this stage, and everyone enjoyed it. Brilliant performance from him.”
He concluded by talking about the remainder of the games. With two games to go and with the fate of the series in the balance, SKY promised that there is ample fun that both the teams are about to have. SKY said, “Two games to go, a lot of entertainment left and it will be fun at Jo'burg.”
