ICC announce dates and venue for WTC 2025 final
The ongoing WTC cycle is the third edition of the World Test Championship and it has already been making the ripples for all the right reasons. New Zealand won the first iteration of the competition while Australia clinched the second. India finished as the runners-up in both the editions after late turnarounds in the contests.
The dates for the third edition of the World Test Championship were announced by ICC, along with the venue. The Home of Cricket, Lord’s will be hosting the WTC final for the third edition of the Championship and the match will be played from 11th June, 2025.
This is the first time that the Lord’s will be playing host to this incredible summit clash of the two best Test teams in the world. The match will be played between 11th June and 15th June 2025 with 16th June being a reserve day for the contest.
The first WTC final was held at Southampton while the Oval played the host to the 2023 edition of the grand finale. The clash will be contested between the two top teams in the points table at the end of the 2024-25 WTC cycle.
