I try to solve every problem which I face – Rajat Patidar
RCB secured their second win of the season that saw them outclass Sunrisers Hyderabad in the latter’s home. The Royal Challengers started well but had a couple of early hiccups to brush off as they lost Faf du Plessis and Will Jacks early.
However, the arrival of Rajat Patidar gave them renewed hopes and saw the visitors batting brilliantly to turn the tide around in their favour. Patidar smashed 50 off just 20 balls, hammering two fours and five sixes. Out of the five sixes struck, four of them came in a single over by Mayank Markande.
Patidar also won the Player of the Match award for that defining knock in the middle and that too under the pump. Talking at the post-match presentation, he highlighted what was exactly going on in his mind while he batted and also underlined the special prowess that he showed against the spinners of SRH.
Rajat said, “I was just keeping things in my mind that control the controllables. Whenever I go back home, I try to solve every problem which I faced. I go for a skilful batting setup. Nothing like that.”
He concluded by talking about his masterful control over spin at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, stating, “Today I was backing myself to be in good shape against every bowler.”
