“Obviously, playing for Bangalore for the first three-four years, going into your fifth year, I realised I would love to play here for the rest of my life,” AB de Villiers was quoted as saying.

In 2011, The Protea batsman was acquired by Royal Challengers Bangalore. Since his debut, de Villiers has developed a huge amount of goodwill amongst the fans, essaying myriads of match-winning knocks, and subsequently forming the fulcrum of the RCB batting line-up.
