I don’t look at numbers as a way of judging my success: Kyle Jamieson
New Zealand and Royal Challengers Bangalore pacer Kyle Jamieson bagged a fifer in the first innings of the ongoing WTC final between India and New Zealand. Jamieson has, in his short career so far, fife fifers to his name and is emerging as one of the finds for the Kiwis.
In a video posted by the International Cricket Council, Jaimeson talked about his love for the game, how he started and what success means to him.
“I don’t necessarily look at numbers as a way of judging my success. Just playing one game for New Zealand… an immensely proud moment, something I have been chasing for a long period of time. Just to spend time in this environment, it’s such a special place… was everything to me ,” Jamieson said in the video.
“To be able to play your role and team winning games and competing against other teams is what you want to do as a cricketer. So, I am fortunate to have such a special group of players and a special bowling attack,” said Jamieson who often garners attention because of his tall frame.
Playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPl 2021, Jamieson bagged 9 wickets in 7 matches at an average under 25, before the tournament was suspended midway. RCB would want him to continue the form once the season resumes in September in the UAE.
