I am really proud of two guys here, Anuj Rawat and Suyash Prabhdudessai: Glenn Maxwell
The Royal Challengers posted a thumping display against the Delhi Capitals that saw some electric fielding efforts on the pitch. Virat Kohli plucked out a ripper from mid-air while Anuj Rawat, Suyash Prabhudessai and Faf du Plessis rolled around the ground, cutting short outrageous Capital strikes from reaching the boundary ropes.
RCB’s relentless fielding efforts have so far been a primary reason for the success that they have savoured in 2022. Valuable runs have been cut down that has carved open the fine margins in the end. More importantly, a lion’s share of the same has come from the youngsters who has impressed heavily on the field.
One of the team’s most reliable all-rounders, Glenn Maxwell opened up about the valiant efforts of Anuj and Suyash on the field. He said, “I am really proud of two guys here, Anuj Rawat and Suyash Prabhdudessai. Despite not getting too many runs around, they have still created a very positive impact on the game. I think that is really a key thing when you come to the side.”
He further added, “I think even if you are not scoring runs or taking wickets, I still think you are having a positive effect. Those guys are continuing to do that.”
RCB’s fielding coach and scouting head, Malolan Rangarajan said, “Like I said that it is an ongoing process. One of the big teams that we speak about in the dressing room is being consistent. That’s what we tried to do from the support staff perspective.”
