I am personally ready to go: Wanindu Hasaranga after his first practice session with RCB

In order to prepare for the hot, sunny conditions at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday afternoon, RCB opted to practice at Alur as a part of one of the sessions. The squad was joined by Sri Lankan mystery spinner Wanindu Hasaranga, who hit his straps straight away and got to bowling in the session, much to the joy of multiple RCB fans who were awaiting his arrival.

RCB’s Director of Cricket Operations, Mike Hesson, spoke on how Hasaranga, who topped the wicket charts for the team last season, is a fabulous addition to the squad.

Hesson, on Bold Diaries, said, “Wanindu is doing a great job. I think that the surface is taking a bit of turn and he has spun a bit of his magic web here already, which is nice. He is pretty confident in the middle and with the bat, he also played a nice inning in the middle. It was an important day for Wani to change from the conditions in New Zealand to over here. Obviously, they are quite different. Probably heat-wise, the conditions differ and it is indeed nice having him back.”

Hasaranga himself said, “I was waiting to join the RCB family. I am really happy to see the boys train well today. This was my first day this year with the team, my bowling went well and I adjusted well to the wickets in Bengaluru. I think that I am personally ready to go.”
