How quickly India adapts to the conditions will be important: Vengsarkar on WTC final
The lead-up to a series is full of suggestions and speculations. While some of the former cricketers have already predicted the outcome of the World Test Championship final, others are now throwing in their suggestions for the Indian team.
Former India captain Dilip Vengsarkar thinks that New Zealand will have the upper hand in the World Test Championship final against India as they would have played two Test matches against England before taking on Virat Kohli’s men in the all-important clash.
“Of course, New Zealand will have an advantage because they play two Tests before the WTC final. It will help them. How quickly India adapts to the conditions will be important. But, New Zealand would have already had two Tests experience and would be playing in their third Test on the trot against India, while it will be the first on the tour for Kohli And Co," Vengsarkar told Cricketnext.
As Vengsarkar pointed, adapting to the conditions might just be the key for Team India. The team leaves for UK on June 2 and will be in a managed isolation facility. There’s still not much clarity over their hard quarantine in England, but trust Virat Kohli’s men to make the best of opportunities to be ready for the high-octane clash.
