The Royal Challengers Bangalore Women got back to winning ways after an all-round display helped them to the finish line against a battling UP Warriorz. On being asked to bat first, RCB-W piled up a monumental 198/3, which is their highest score in the history of WPL.

Smriti Mandhana and Ellyse Perry blasted half-centuries to propel the RCB charge while a collective display from their bowlers allowed them to restrict their opposition to 175, eventually securing a 23-run win. Talking in a post-match interview, Ellyse Perry talked at length about the matches played by RCB so far while also shedding some light about her knock against UP Warriorz.

Perry said, “All five games that we've played here have been amazing. Without a doubt the best atmosphere that I have consistently played in front of in my whole career. They've been phenomenal, the way they have come out, it's such a cool feeling to have that kind of support, we are so lucky.”

She further added, “We have played a lot of cricket in the last couple of months. It's just the nature of the format, sometimes it clicks for you and on another night it doesn't. Great chance tonight to get myself in. At the other end, Smriti was hitting it as well as she could. My role was to support her then nice at the end to release a few balls.”

Pez also talked about the mood in the dressing room, stating, “Good fun, great conditions here. We are really trying to pride ourselves with our fielding, it's a little bit tricky when there's a left-hand right-hand combination. We put in a great effort. It was really great from the girls tonight. Great to finish on a high in front of our fans.”

She concluded on a comical note about crashing the window of the car with her humongous six, adding, “I was a bit worried, I am not sure if I have insurance here to cover that.”
