As the Rain Gods forced a truncated fixture between RCB and PBKS, it was the latter who emerged victorious in a thrilling tussle. However, despite the clouds in the sky, there were streaks of brilliance that radiated Namma Chinnaswamy in the RCB threads. Here is a quick look at the top three performers for RCB against PBKS.

Tim David – 50* (26)

The Aussie all-rounder continued with his fine run of affairs as he whacked an unbeaten half-century against Punjab. He came with RCB wobbling in the center. However, despite a slow start, David was soon back to his beastly best, toying with the bowlers at will. His propulsion in the latter half of the game saw RCB tot up a fighting total at the end of their 14 overs.

Josh Hazlewood – 3/14

In the very first over bowled by Hoff, Priyansh Arya got lucky once as he top-edged one for a maximum. However, the Aussie ace, brimming with confidence, was quick to angle one back in and Arya skied one. Tim David made no mistake in pouching a simple take. He also got rid of the dangerous Shreyas Iyer for cheap as Jitesh Sharma pulled off a stunner behind the wickets. In the same over, Hoff struck once again as Josh Inglis’ attempt to slice at a wider one outside off was safely nestled in the hands of Suyash Sharma.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar – 2/26

The Indian pace expert did get expensive towards the end but his initial economical spell did keep RCB in the game. In the second over against Prabhsimran Singh, he conceded a couple of boundaries but was quick to make a fightback as a change in length saw the PBKS keeper slice with the toe end of his bat and Tim David got underneath comfortably. He also got the wicket of Shashank Singh who sliced to Phil Salt at long-on after failing to understand the awkward bounce towards the end.
