Four RCB players named as BCCI announce WT20I squad for South Africa series

BCCI announced the squad for the upcoming Women's T20I series between India and South Africa, which is slated to begin on 17th April. The side featured several notable inclusions, including rising batting progidy Anushka Sharma, who could be in line for her WT20I debut.

Apart from Sharma, Uma Chetry was recalled to the side while Kashvee Gautam has also been added to the squad. Vaishnavi Sharma, Sneh Rana, G Kamali and Amanjot Kaur were the ones who went out of the side to accommodate the three changes.

Four RCB players made the national squad for the upcoming T20I series. Smriti Mandhana will serve as Harmanpreet Kaur's deputy, while Shreyanka Patil, Arundhati Reddy and Richa Ghosh earned spots too.

The Indian women’s team will be touring South Africa from 17th April to 27th April which will be coming on the heels of the recently concluded Australia tour. The South Africa tour will serve as a major dress rehearsal for the Indian women ahead of the 2026 T20 World Cup which will be played from 12th June in England.
